Traditional Raincap

£25.00

Estimated delivery time 3 - 5 working days

Availability: In stock

The Traditional Raincap is designed to help minimise the entry of rain into your system helping to prevent interior structural decay caused by the natural freeze/thaw cycle throughout the year. If left to its own devices, an exposed flue can create many problems in the long term as water works its way between the mortar and masonry causing cracks and decay.

A Traditional Raincap is a cost effective solution that will save you great expense in the long run. However, if you desire protection from birds and debris as well as rain then please take a look at our Brewer Birdguard range.

Stainless steel strap and fitting instructions included.

Description

Details

We make the Traditional Raincap in our own factory here in England.

What is it for?

If you are burning solid fuels (wood, coal, or oil) and require a degree of protection from the elements, then the traditional raincap is ideal. It uses the same top as the Chimney Capper, but has longer legs to raise it above the lip of the pot allowing for easy exhaust of smoke and fumes.

What sizes & options are available?

A Traditional Raincap will fit onto a standard round chimney pot 150mm to 250mm internal diameter (6” to 10”).

It is made from aluminium and is available powder coated in terracotta, buff or black.

However, it is important to note that while cost effective there is no protection offered from birds with this model. Please take a look at our Brewer Birdguard range to receive the benefits of protection from both birds and rain.

How do I fit one?

Once up on the roof, the Traditional Raincap is easily attached by using the stainless steel strap provided which wraps around the exterior of the chimney pot.

What if it won't fit?

As manufacturers in the UK, we also make different sizes to order. Stainless steel and sleeve versions can also be made. Just give us a ring or email us for details and prices. We can normally have a special unit delivered to you within 10 working days of your order.

** Please note, chimney pots are not included.
